With this Thursday’s opening of the new Nothing Bundt Cakes in Broken Arrow, bakery owner Jim Sheahan says he's excited to share more joy with Oklahomans.

Nothing Bundt Cakes will open its doors in Broken Arrow at 9 a.m. Thursday at 1228 E. Hillside Drive.

The bakery will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is the fifth bakery of its kind in the state and the second in the Tulsa market, with the other located in south Tulsa at 7890 E. 106th Place South.

Opening late last year in Yukon and earlier this year in Norman, Sheahan says he's found nothing “bundt” kindness in the people as well as passion for the delicious cakes.

“Broken Arrow is a great community to raise a family, and we are pleased to be able to be a positive part of its continued growth,” Sheahan said in a statement.

Sheahan said he's happy to develop leaders and opportunities for personal growth as well for employees at his stores. “In addition to celebrating our guests, the ability to provide local jobs and great opportunities for our teams is powerful," he said. "We look forward to supporting Broken Arrow as we become part of this strong community.”

The bakery will celebrate with grand opening events next month. A ribbon cutting will be held with the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce on Aug. 26, and the store will also be holding an "Animal Rescue Foundation Benefit Day" from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with 20% of sales being donated to the organization dedicated to helping homeless pets of the Tulsa area find homes. On Aug. 27, the store will be offering "Free Bundtlets for a Year" from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a purchase (up to 300).
