City of Broken Arrow issues explanation about summer water bills

Did you know your city water bill reflects the amount of water used at your location approximately 30 to 45 days prior to the billing date?

Higher water bills being received now are due to the high demand we saw customers using when the temperatures were well above 100 degrees and there was little rain back in late July and early August.

Keep in mind, the amount of water consumed in the month of July this year was the third highest on record in Broken Arrow. Please watch the video below that explains how often the meter is read, how much consumption goes up in the summer months, how much water is lost due to a leak, and much more about your water bill.

If you have questions about your bill after watching the video, please contact our team at 918-259-8409 or by emailing our Customer Service Manager Curt Poole at cupoole@brokenarrowok.gov. They are happy to help you.
