The Broken Arrow Police Department said it is investigating a shooting that happened Monday afternoon that injured a juvenile.
The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Homewood Suites, 4900 W. Madison Pl. Police arrived at the scene to find a juvenile who had been wounded by gunfire. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
McAuliffe Elementary and Union 8th Grade Center were on lockdown as a precaution but that was lifted 30 minutes later.
