A truck driver died during an accident early Monday in U.S. Highway 69 south of Wagoner, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Jeremy D. Daley, 45, of Norman was pronounced dead at the scene on the highway 5 miles south of Wagoner, just north of W. 80th Street N.
OHP said Daley’s 2011 Kenworth was southbound when it departed the roadway to the right for unknown reasons and struck a utility pole and embankment. They said Daley was pinned in the truck for more than 7 hours. Troopers said no seatbelt was in use and no airbags deployed. Roads were dry at the time.
OHP was assisted at the scene by Wagoner County EMS, Tallahassee Fire and Porter Fire.
