Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott is excited to announce that the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office has launched an update to their website and mobile app.
Residents can find helpful resources about what is going on in their community and safety information that affects those in the Wagoner County area.
The new website has an updated clean layout making it easier to find the resources residents are looking for regardless of the device you use to access the website. For our employees, the new website is easier to manage and more affordable to maintain. Inmate Roster – Updated hourly and provides information for both the public as well as direct links to commissary and visitation for family members.
Most Wanted: See photos and information on wanted individuals in the county. The sheriff’s office able to highlight wanted sex offenders and violent offenders. Most Wanted listings feature social sharing buttons to share the listing on social media.
Submit a Tip: Our crime tips have also been reworked allowing more information to be given as part of the tip. Tipsters can choose to include their contact information if more information is needed by investigators.
Sheriff Sales: The sheriff sales information is now more accessible with listings directly on the website without the need to download anything. Case numbers are linked to the Oklahoma State Courts Network (OSCN) allowing visitors to access up to date information. Often our office receives numerous phone calls per day about current sheriff sales. By providing this information on our website, it will reduce the calls to our office.
The sex offender section has been completed reworked as we developed a relationship with Offender Watch. Once live, the sex offender page will incorporate a map for sex offenders in the area, sex offender tracking, and safety tools provided to help keep your family safe.
The Wagoner County App is available for download at the Google Play Store and the Apple Store for free. The app allows quick and easy access to the most important features of the website as well as opted in push notifications allowing users to control what notifications they receive.
“The greatest asset Wagoner County has, are the citizens we serve. Informed citizens are paramount to the success of any law enforcement organization. Informed citizens serve as a 'force magnifier' for the Wagoner County Sherriff’s Office," Sheriff Elliott said.
"Our goal with changing the website and app was to make it easier to use us in the office and easier for the residents we serve to obtain information. By giving the ability to our citizens to relay information, request information and online reporting we will reduce the personnel hours needed by patrol deputies and investigators. This will allow us to focus on other law enforcement needs in the county.”
