Winter weather forces change in trash, recycling collection services

Due to the current weather conditions and the potential for more wintry precipitation, our Solid Waste and Recycling Department is suspending services on Tuesday and combining trash and recycling routes for the remainder of this week.

This is a necessary change in the normal procedure for the safety of our employees to minimize their exposure during the inclement weather conditions.

Trash and recycling will be collected and dumped into a single truck. If you do not want your recyclables taken to the landfill this week, please do not place the blue cart at the curb for collection.

• Normal Tuesday pick-ups will happen on Wednesday, Feb. 1st
• Normal Wednesday pick-ups will happen on Thursday, Feb. 2nd
• Normal Thursday pick-ups will happen on Friday, Feb. 3rd

Additionally, Bulky Waste services have been suspended this week. For those customers who were on the schedule, staff will reschedule your appointment.

Regular trash and recycling routes and the normal schedule will resume during the week of Feb. 6th. We appreciate your patience and support.
