The Broken Arrow Police Department arrested a 15-year-old girl Wednesday in connection with a homicide that occurred last week.

Early on Jan. 24, Dacari Green, 16, was found unresponsive in front of his home in the 1400 block of West Trenton Street with a gunshot wound.

Ky’Leigh Deon Shaw has been charged with first-degree murder in Green's death and is being charged as an adult. Her bond was set Wednesday at $1 million in Tulsa County District Court.

The Tulsa Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task force assisted with the apprehension, said BAPD Public Information Officer Ethan Hutchins.

A report on Fox23 News, citing unnamed investigators, stated police believe this could be a gang-related crime, as a witness, and information derived from Dacari’s last phone call, said several suspects believed Dacari to be an “informant” or a “rat” – even though Dacari repeatedly denied it.

Investigators said a third-party witness called in an anonymous tip saying Shaw told them she was involved in the shooting of Green. Based on evidence collected during the investigation there may be additional arrests in the case, the report said.

Dacari Green died Jan. 24 due to a gunshot wound.
