Fifth person arrested in connection with Broken Arrow homicide

The Broken Arrow Police Department arrested a fifth suspect Wednesday for the Jan. 24 murder of Dacari Green.

Tyuane Barnes, 22, was arrested in Tulsa with assistance from the U.S. Marshal's Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force. Barnes faces a charge of 1st-degree murder in the death of Green, who was 16. Green died of a gunshot wound in front of his home in the 1400 block of W. Trenton Street in north Broken Arrow. 

Barnes is a member of a federally recognized tribe and will be prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office-Northern District of Oklahoma, said BAPD Public Information Officer Ethan Hutchins. 

Also facing 1st-degree murder charges in Green's death are 16-year-old Brandon Jordan, as well as Tremaine Toliver, Ky'Leigh Shaw and Ja'Cori Whitmore, who are all 15 years old are being charged as adults, police said.
