Broken Arrow High School’s boys basketball team fell short in their bid for a state title Saturday.
The Tigers lost to Edmond North, who was the defending champion from last season, 58-49, at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.
Broken Arrow was winning at halftime 32-28 and led the entire game until partway into the third quarter. But the Huskies pulled away at the end for their second 6A state title in a row.
The Tigers and coach Beau Wallace finished the season 27-3 after going 24-0, making their first state title game appearance since 1997 — ironically, back when Wallace was a starter on the team.
