The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said one person was killed and another injured during a crash near Wagoner. The collision happened at 10:09 a.m. on Highway 16, 4 miles south of Wagoner.

State troopers said the person killed will not be identified until next of kin are notified. The person was driving a 2003 Chevrolet 1500 and pronounced deceased at the scene by a member of the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office.

Injured in the crash was 51-year-old David Chandler of Warner, who was driving a 1999 Ford 350. He was transported by Wagoner County EMS to Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah and then transported by helicopter to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was admitted in serious condition with internal injuries.

A third vehicle was involved in the accident but no injuries were reported to the driver, Nathaniel Baucher, 31, of Fort Gibson, or his 6-year-old female passenger.

OHP said the accident cause is still being investigated. There was fog reported in the area but the pavement was dry.
