The U.S. Attorney's Office announced a Tulsa man has been indicted on numerous charges in connection with the killing of Dacari Green in January.
Tyuane Lamontco Barnes, 22, is facing charges of first-degree felony murder, robbery, conspiracy and "causing death by using and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence," said U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson of the Northern District of Oklahoma.
Prosecutors say Barnes allegedly conspired with others to rob Green of his firearm, resulting in his murder on Jan 24, 2023.
The FBI and Broken Arrow Police Department are the investigative agencies. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Nathan E. Michel and Aaron M. Jolly are prosecuting the case.
Green, 16, died of a gunshot wound in front of his home in the 1400 block of W. Trenton Street in north Broken Arrow. Also facing first-degree murder charges in Green's death are 16-year-old Brandon Jordan, as well as Tremaine Toliver, Ky'Leigh Shaw and Ja'Cori Whitmore, who are all 15 years old and were to be charged as adults, police said.
