One person died Sunday morning during a crash on the Turner Turnpike, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said a person was driving a 2014 Nissan Altima headed eastbound on the turnpike when their car left the roadway to the right and collided with a semi-tractor trailer parked on the shoulder of the highway.
The accident happened around 8 a.m. about one mile east of Kellyville.
The identity of the driver is not being released until next of kin are notified. The driver of the truck, 39-year-old Fernando Carrie’s of Juarez, Mexico, was not injured.
OHP said the driver of the sedan was pinned for 2 hours and 19 minutes before being extricated by the Kellyville and Sapulpa fire departments.
