Suspect arrested in Bixby homicide

Authorities say a suspect has been arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred in Bixby.

Travis Glenn Ballard, 34, was taken into custody after crashing his vehicle in Pryor during a police pursuit, the Pryor Creek Police Department said.

Multiple media outlets are reporting the body of a woman was found inside Washington Irvin Memorial Park, which authorities closed early this morning.

Bixby police are investigating and OSBI is assisting with collecting evidence.
