Paris Air Show, June 21, 2023 - Broken Arrow-based CymSTAR has signed is an exclusive collaboration agreement with Belgian-based Acceleration Worx (AWx) “to revolutionize flight simulation technology,” the company said.
The partnership will bring AWx's Lateral Maneuvering Motion (Lm2) technology to the Department of Defense and civil air training markets.
As part of the agreement, CymSTAR becomes the sole provider of the patented Lm2 motion control method for full flight simulators of large transport category aircraft and helicopters.
CymStar said Lm2 “significantly enhances simulator fidelity, replicating realistic reactions to aileron, rudder and tiller control inputs with precision and authenticity.”
Pilots will experience the same level of realism in the simulator as in an actual aircraft.
"Our commitment lies in delivering best-of-the-breed training systems that leverage cutting-edge technology and engineering,” said Dan Marticello, CEO and president of CymSTAR.
“Our top priority is to ensure our customers receive the highest quality solutions promptly and cost-effectively."
This collaboration between CymSTAR and AWx marks a significant milestone in advancing flight simulation technology, promising unparalleled training experiences for aviation professionals, the companies said.
Earlier this month, CymSTAR announced it was been awarded the $32.5 billion, multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) Training Systems Acquisition IV (TSA IV) contract by the United States Air Force. CymSTAR has been selected as a trusted partner to the U.S. Air Force after a competitive acquisition process, alongside 19 other small businesses.
