Police probe homicide on Tulsa expressway

The  Tulsa Police Department is investigating a shooting incident Sunday on Highway 169 in Tulsa that left a driver injured and his passenger dead. 

Officers responded to a shooting at 3500 S. Highway 169 and found a Chrysler disabled in the road and two men inside the car had been shot. 

The male driver was shot in the shoulder and taken to a hospital and expected to recover. The passenger, 31-year-old Terrence McElwee, was shot in the head and died on the scene, police said. 

At this time, it appears an unknown suspect began shooting at the Chrysler as it was driving southbound on the highway. The vehicle was hit multiple times, disabling it and injuring the two men.
