The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine the identity and cause of death for a person pulled from the Arkansas River early Thursday, Tulsa police said.

Police responded about 8 a.m. to a call about a body in the Arkansas River near 23rd Street and Jackson Avenue.

Tulsa Fire Department personnel worked to recover the body from the water. As of late Thursday Tulsa police hadn't released further information about the case, which remains under investigation.
