A 30-year-old woman from Wagoner died early Thursday morning after a two-car accident, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
The collision occurred just before 7 a.m. on South 312 Way at East 700 Road, 2 miles east of Wagoner.
OHP said Trudy Jenkins of Wagoner was driving southbound on South 312 Way when her car went left of center and struck another vehicle head on that was northbound.
The second car was driven by 41-year-old Michael Neel of Wagoner.
Jenkins was transported to Wagoner Hospital by Wagoner County EMS with massive injuries and passed away a short time later.
Neel was also transported by Wagoner County EMS to Wagoner Hospital with head and leg injuries but he was treated and released.
The condition of the drivers and cause of the collision are still under investigation. OHP said Jenkins was not wearing a seat belt and Neel was.
