Broken Arrow police investigating altercation, shooting death

Broken Arrow police are probing an incident late Friday behind a business that led to a shooting death.

Officers from the Broken Arrow Police Department responded to an alarm at Kentucky Fried Chicken, 6155 S. Garnett Road, at 11:44 p.m. and discovered a man with a single gunshot wound lying face down on the pavement.

The officers attempted life saving measures, but the victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. The victim was identified as 23-year-old Jorge Santos.

Officers canvassed the area and located blood and cash in a nearby parking lot, the department said.

Video surveillance shows a confrontation took place between Santos and a group of 5 other individuals. After the incident ended, 2 vehicles were seen leaving the parking lot heading north on Garnett Road.
