Work will begin on Monday, Nov. 13 to change the color of traffic signal poles from gray to black at 10 different intersections around Broken Arrow. The intersections include:

  • Kenosha Street and Aspen Avenue
  • Kenosha Street and Elm Place
  • Kenosha Street and Main Street
  • Kenosha Street and Lynn Lane
  • Kenosha Street and County Line Road
  • Houston Street and Main Street
  • Washington Street and Main Street
  • Washington Street and Elm Place
  • Aspen Avenue and New Orleans Street
  • Aspen Avenue and Florence Street

Motorists should be aware of temporary lane drop closures while the work is being done. The crew will power wash the existing poles, apply a white primer, and coat with black paint. This project is expected to take less than 90 days but when the temperature becomes too cold, the crew will pause and resume in the spring.

Cobalt Coatings was awarded the $169,525 contract during the Oct. 17th meeting of the Broken Arrow City Council.
