The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a woman from Tulsa died Sunday morning during an accident on the Creek Turnpike in Broken Arrow.
Troopers said De’Marco Frazier, 37, of Coweta was driving a Chevy Equinox eastbound on OK-364 just west of S. Olive Avenue around 9:19 a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway to the right and struck a tree.
His passenger, 29-year-old Shaniqua Wilson of Tulsa, was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers said they are unsure why the vehicle veered off the road and they are still investigating the crash.
Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts. Broken Arrow firefighters assisted at the scene
