Ribbon cutting held for expanded Broken Arrow skate park

The city of Broken Arrow celebrated the re-opening of Nienhuis Skate Park, 3201 N. 9th St., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, Oct. 26.

City leaders were on-hand from the City Council, City Manager's office, Chamber Ambassadors and various departments within the City to witness Mayor Debra Wimpee cut the ribbon designating the park's official re-opening.

"People are coming from outside the City to enjoy this new skatepark and it's doubled in size," Wimpee said. "I love that our Parks Department and construction crew got citizen input from the people who will be using it."
